This photo of a sunrise was taken last spring on Jupiter Island. It was a long exposure that resulted in the "soft" appearance of the waves and sky.
Hope everyone is doing well. We finally sold our home in Keystone Heights (close on it this Thursday) and we are all very busy preparing to move from our rental in Sebring to St. Augustine!
Born in Miami, Florida in 1958, I grew up influenced by the beauty of the tropics and diverse culture of South Florida.
My interest in photography began at age 11, when I was invited on an outing to the Everglades. On a cool winter day before dawn, I was loaned a 35mm Nikkormat camera and given brief instructions on its use. As the sun rose over the marsh, so did my excitement. Searching through the lens of this camera, my eyes were opened in a new way to the wonders of nature.
Photography has truly had a profound effect on my life, providing a connection to the world through which my spirit is uplifted and renewed.
Although I enjoy capturing a broad variety of subject matter, my real passion, set in motion so many years ago during that childhood trip to the Everglades, remains nature and wildlife photography.
What a great shot. Thanks for sharing.
